Summer Band Lessons

Summer is almost here!

I will be offering lessons for students that would like to enhance their skills over the summer.  Lessons will be offered on Wednesday, May 30 and June 6, after school is out and on Tuesday, August 7 and 14 before the new school year begins. Students may sign up for both sessions or an individual session depending on their summer schedules.  If needed, I will open another day to accommodate students. However, I would like to fill up the days currently scheduled before making any additions.

There will be no cost for lessons. Students will meet with me in the music room during their assigned time. Please email me with interest and your preferred time. I plan on beginning at about 9 am. Individual lessons will be twenty minutes in length and geared towards each student’s level. This is an opportunity for students to work individually to master their instrument of choice.

If questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sign up today for the June 9th 5K Walk/Run Running for Coach!

Martensdale-St. Marys Community School District Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Girls Track Team are proud to announce the sponsoring of the upcoming 5K Race/Walk Running For Coach.  Our big event will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018.  Proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association to help end the fight of Alzheimer’s.

Unfortunately, one of our own Blue Devils was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.  Coach Van Scoy is currently a MStM Cross Country and Track Coach and has been a strong leader for a great group of student-athletes participating in our MStM Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

We invite you to join us in making this event a successful one.  We are seeking participation and assistance from local businesses and friends.  All donations will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association of Des Moines along with $15 of each 5K race registration.

Please join the Blue Devils in the fight to end Alzheimer’s!

To register for the race please go to the Blue Devils Webstore.
