Welcome to Martensdale-St. Marys Community School District

Inspire. Challenge. Grow.

Through the years, class after class of Blue Devil students continue to represent those three words well. To be part of the MStM community is to be surrounded by caring and nurturing staff and peers that inspire and challenge each other to blaze their path forward. MStM alumni continue to make a difference after graduation, having grown into productive and lifelong learners. MStM works hard to live its vision: A school community that fosters personal excellence and responsible citizenship.

Kindergarten Roundup 2022 Information

Greetings, Blue Devil Families!

We are excited to announce that KINDERGARTEN ROUNDUP will be hosted by our Kindergarten staff on Friday, May 6th.  The welcome activities will begin at 8:30 A.M. and end at 2:00 P.M.  Current preschoolers who attend Two Peas in a Pod Preschool will come for the day as usual that Friday.  They will all attend roundup and return to their PK classrooms at 2:00 P.M.

Students may be picked up at that time or be dismissed at the usual time. Students who are not currently enrolled in preschool here will need to be picked up at 2:00 P.M.

ROUNDUP is intended to give kindergarten teachers an opportunity to get to know the students, assess their readiness, and introduce them to the world of kindergarten.  Students new to the district who will attend kindergarten in the fall are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Prior to ROUNDUP there will be a Kindergarten Parent Meeting on Monday, May 2nd, at 6:00 P.M. Mark your calendars, as this is a very important meeting for parents of incoming kindergarten students.

2022 MStM Blue Devils Career Fair

MStM Parents and Staff,

Some exciting news to share!  MStM will be hosting a Spring Career Fair on Tuesday, May 10th,  from 1-3pm, with potential interview options from 3-4pm.  Students completed a career interest survey on Monday, April 4th, and we will be doing our best to meet all student interest areas with a company, skilled trade, owned business representatives in attendance.  These folks will share with students what steps it took to achieve their career path and some exciting things about that field, such as job opportunities, etc.  This event will be open to students grades 7-11 to attend.  There will be a sign up sheet for students to select at least 3 areas to meet with that afternoon.  Once we have a complete list of business and career areas who have agreed to attend, we will send that out to students and parents.  We encourage anyone local who would like to share their talents/career paths with students here at MStM to please read the attached flyer as contact info is included.

This is an outstanding opportunity for our MStM students!  Please encourage your children to prepare and participate!

FFA Alumni Sponsorship Drive

MStM FFA Alumni is hosting a sponsorship drive to help cover costs for the Spring Awards and Scholarship Banquet. We host the MStM FFA chapter and their families as the students showcase their work, activities and achievements for the year!  The MStM FFA Chapter is growing and has had a successful year!

They have attended District contests, National FFA Convention, Livestock Judging contests, National FFA Week activities including a  community breakfast and a petting zoo of farm animals! They have hung American Flags up in town in Martensdale during holidays and special events and will be attending State FFA Convention in April at ISU!

It takes community and business support to help keep our chapter growing! We greatly appreciate your sponsorship toward our banquet and scholarship night!  You or your business will be announced at the banquet and listed in the chapter program brochure for the evening, as well as on the Alumni Facebook page. This will give your business some well-deserved recognition!  See the attached flyer for information about levels of sponsorship.

We also invite you to come meet these amazing young men and women, tomorrow’s leaders, at our banquet night on April 24th from 5-7 P.M. Dinner and dessert will be served.
