A Message from Dr. Watson – Superintendent, Martensdale-St. Marys Community School District

As we move through the 2025-2026 school year, we will start to see changes in our physical structure. Whether it be the new science rooms that will open in the fall or larger scale construction that will begin in the spring, we are excited about the present and future of our school. We appreciate the community support we receive daily to ensure that this is a great place to learn and work.

I am reminded daily of the tremendous opportunity that we have in our school district to work with our students. Whether they be from Martensdale or St. Marys, or across the two counties that intersect our communities, we are all Blue Devils. It is my expectation that every member of our team will give our students their best. I am humbled and honored to lead this process daily.

One of the key components to our success today and into the future rests with communication. Please know that we will do everything we can to keep you updated on the happenings of this district. Whether a student, member of our staff, parent, or community member, know that I will listen and learn from you to better lead this District. My door is always open, and I will always respond to an e-mail or phone call and take time to talk at an event.

Go Blue Devils!

William R. Watson, Ph.D.
