About Martensdale-St.Marys Elementary
Martensdale-St. Marys Elementary School, located in the heart of Martensdale, shares a unified campus with the district’s secondary school. Serving approximately 300 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade, the elementary building is organized into two sections per grade level, providing a close-knit, student-centered learning environment.
Our students benefit from a full continuum of academic and support services, including Special Education, Extended Learning Programming, Title I Reading, and targeted interventions designed to meet individual learning needs.
We are proud to share that MSTM Elementary has earned a “High Performing” designation under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) performance profiles for the 2024-2025 academic year, marking the second consecutive year of this designation and reflecting the continued dedication of our staff, students, and families.
Student leadership and community involvement are key components of our school culture. The Elementary Student Council leads a variety of initiatives throughout the year, including Red Ribbon Week activities, Holiday Grams, Reading Buddies, Pennies for Patients, and the school’s recycling efforts. Students in grades 4–6 are invited to take part and may also serve in officer roles.
Martensdale-St. Marys Elementary is proud to be a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school. This evidence-based framework enhances student outcomes by aligning systems, data, and practices across all school settings. Through our school-wide expectations—Blue Devil SWAG—students learn to Stay Safe, Work Hard, Act Responsibly, and Give Respect, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all.
