​Conferences will be held today from 2:00-7:30 p.m.  Conferences are held on a first come, first served basis in each individual teacher’s room.


The 2019-2020 yearbook order deadline is April 15th. Yearbooks will be on sale from 4:00-7:00 during conferences today.  You can find them in the media center by the elementary office.


Coach DiCesare will still be opening up the weight room at 5:30 AM this Friday and then next week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Since there is no school on those days, he will have to shut it down when he leaves at 6:30 AM, but students are still welcomed and encouraged to attend!  Those who get dropped off will need to arrange transportation when the weight room closes at 6:30 AM.


Boys’ track shirt order forms are available now in the office.  Short sleeve tees are $15.00 and hooded long-sleeve tees are $25.00.  All orders are due by March 25th.


MStM Post Prom is hosting a dodgeball tournament on Friday, March 27th, at 6:00 p.m.  Get your teams together and sign up today!  The deadline to sign up is March 25th.  Hand in your registration forms to either office or the Central Office.  There are registration forms available in the office.



Any 10th or 11th grade student who would like to go to DMACC Discovery Days on Friday, March 27th, needs to fill out a registration form ASAP.  You have through today to sign up.  The registration form link is in your school email sent to you from Mr. Folkerts.  If you have any questions, please stop by the guidance office.


Students interested in taking an online DMACC course next fall need to go to the Guidance Office for class lists and registration forms.


Prom Tuxedo Rentals:

Post Prom will be going through Affinity Bridal in Indianola this year for tuxedo rentals.  Post Prom will receive $15.00 for each student who orders their tuxedo from Affinity.  Affinity Bridal will be coming to school on Monday, March 23rd, during lunch mods (12:00-1:15) to measure for prom tuxedos.  $100.00 will be due on Monday, March 23rd, and the balance can be paid any time before April 3rd.  You can also pay in full that day.  On Wednesday, March 25th, and Thursday, March 26th, Affinity Bridal will be staying open late until 8:00 p.m. for our MStM students and families.  Students will be notified when their tuxedos are ready to be picked up and they will try them on at Affinity Bridal in Indianola.  If there are any adjustments that need to be made, they will take care of them for our students after they try their tuxedos on.  We will collect tuxedos at Post Prom and will arrange to return them to Affinity Bridal on Sunday, April 19th.  If you have any questions, please contact Sara Franey at


MSTM’s Junior/Senior Prom “Candyland” is right around the corner!  It will be April 18th before we know it!

Prom Tickets:

Prom Tickets will be on sale in the high school office and online in the Blue Devils Web Store from Monday, March 23rd-Friday, March 27th.  After students have paid for prom and have filled out the prom information form, they may sign up for their prom tables in Mrs. Franey’s classroom.  Prom tickets are $25.00 per person.  Checks need to be made out to MSTM Prom.  Cash will also be accepted.

Post Prom:

Post Prom can also be paid for in the high school office and online in the Blue Devils Web Store from Monday, March 23rd-Friday, March 27th.  Post Prom costs $10.00 per person and includes a t-shirt.  Checks need to be made out to MSTM Post Prom.  Cash will also be accepted.  There is also an information form that must be filled out for Post Prom.

There will be a football meeting on Thursday, March 26, during Power Hour in the elementary gym.  This meeting will be for all current 8th-11th grade student-athletes who are planning to go out for football next season.


Seniors: This is your reminder that the local scholarship applications are due in the Guidance Office by Friday, March 27, at 3:00 pm.


The HS girls’ and boys’ basketball awards banquet is scheduled for all team members, managers, and their families on Tuesday, March 31st, at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  You will be having a potluck supper.  Each family is asked to bring their own drink and table service.  Senior and sophomore team members, please bring a main dish.  Junior and freshmen team members, please bring a side dish and dessert.  The awards will be presented following the meal.


Love working with kids?  Are you over the age 16?  The school daycare is looking for high school students who are interested in working this summer.  For an application during the school day, see Jill Gavin.  For an application after school, see Sandi Christensen in the cafeteria.


Ms. Benson will be offering ACT prep in her room on Monday mornings from 8:00 – 8:30.
